Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel Sofer (born on the 2nd of December the 2nd of December, 1968) is an American actress, known for her appearances in daytime television, episodic guest appearances, and made-for-television films. Sofer was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her role in the role of Lois Cerullo on the soap opera General Hospital. She played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful from 2013-2022.
Early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) in California. She is the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) who works as a psychologist and Martin Sofer, who is a Orthodox Rabbi.
In 1970, Sofer moved to Teaneck, New Jersey with her brother David and father. When Sofer was just five years old, they remained in Western Pennsylvania. The family was brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a student at the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer resided in North Bergen, New Jersey which was where her father served as rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. After having graduated from North Bergen High School she went on to Montclair State College.
Career
Television during the daytime
Sofer initially played Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. In 1993, she was an administrator of a band. Her first appearance was in the role of Rocky McKenzie in the 1988-91 daytime soap drama Loving.
