Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model from 11 November 1996. Alison Doody made her film debut as the Bond girl on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. She played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan is in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was approached by a photographer who asked her to model. Then she began her career as a commercial model. Doody avoided nude and glamour work. This was a principle that was carried into her acting. When she came to the director's notice for the role in a James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role for a small part in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was listed as one of the top 12 promising young Actors of 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. Doody is only 18 when she portrayed Doody in A prayer for the dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke. She is the tiniest Bond girl to be seen. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) with Mickey Rourke, also featured one of her roles as IRA Siobhan. Doody was a voice actor in the 1987 television version of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in the movie of his dreams. The episode of the Storyteller Sapsorrow was her first leading role. It aired in 1988 with Dawn French, John Hurt along with Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the 1988 movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. Doody was a co-star in the year 1991 alongside Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was in the spirit of a publication scam known as The Hitler Diaries. Following her move to Hollywood Doody was famous. The role she played was Flannery as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody was a part of The 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony to receive an award. Her roles included a TV film version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 as well as a booklet on the Holocaust and a short film called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Doody was later a guest on RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx but the project ended up being cancelled. The year 2011 saw her debut on the second season in the E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. The show featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film. The Almeria the tierra de film prize was awarded to her on the 21st of November the 21st of November, 2018. The actress also was given one of the stars on the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
