Mary McDonnell
Mary Eileen McDonnell was born April 28, 1952. She is an American stage as well as film and television actress. McDonnell received Academy Award nominations for her performances as Stands With A Fist in Dances with Wolves and May-Alice Culhane in Passion Fish. McDonnell is best known for her roles in Battlestar Galactica as President Laura Roslin, First Lady Marilyn Whitmore, and Rose in Donnie Darko. McDonnell was the Captain Sharon Raydor on seasons 5-7 of TNT's series The Closer. She also starred in Major Crimes, the spin-off series that airs on TNT's network, as the Commander Sharon Raydor.
