Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is an Hollywood writer and actor who has received critical recognition for her talents. Sagittarius by birth, Julianne Moore was born December 3 of 1960 at North Carolina. She is the oldest out of the three children who were born to Peter Moore Smith (a paratrooper) and Anne Smith who was a psychologist. She's of Scottish-English descent. Moore moved frequently with her family because of the job of her father. This was a challenge to make or maintain new friends. Moore was in the class of Frankfurt American High School in Germany as her parents moved to the United States. Moore began her career in the theatre. Her studies continued at Boston University, graduating in 1983 with a B.F.A. When she graduated, Moore moved to New York, where she began her professional career in off-Broadway theatre. Moore started her acting career off-Broadway and in New York, after she completed her degree. In 1985, she made her debut on the screen in The Edge of Night. In 1986 she was cast in the dual roles as Sabrina Hughes, and Frannie Hughes in the As the World Spins. It was this role that gave her the opportunity to break through and brought her to achievement. It ran through 1988 when she was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 her first appearance as an actress on Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. In the following years, she described it as a low budget film. Short Cuts was produced by Robert Altman in 1993 and 3 Women was released in 1997. Her performance in the critically-acclaimed Short Cuts (1993) was rewarded with several nominations. Moore got her first role as the lead role on the screen in Safe (1996). Steven Spielberg's casting of Moore as the lead in Jurassic Park: The Lost World, one of the highest grossing films from 1997, was a significant change in her career. The actress received an SAG Award nomination for Magnolia at the end of 1999. The Hours was her co-starring part in 2002. it earned nine Academy Award nominations with Nicole Kidman. Moore has also been seen in The Forgotten (2003), Freedomland (2005), Shelter (2010) along with a host of others. Non-Stop, a film that she starred in, was released. Moore has been on numerous films and television shows. Moore's latest role as a leading actress is in When You Finish saving the World (2022). The career of an actress in Hollywood has established itself, as well as her work as a novelist for children that has been published. The first book she published was Freckleface Strawberry in 2007 and was a N.Y.T. bestseller, which led to it being adapted into a series and a musical. In 2013, Moore published My Mother Is a Stranger. Moore's personal life has been revealed as she is a popular author and actress. She was married to John Robin from 1984 until 1995. They have two children together along with Bart Freundlich whom she later married in 2003. Moore is a woman who values her work and family.
